What is the General Learning Algorithm?
The General Learning (GL) algorithm in Noji is a study mode focused on rapid reviews and frequent repetition, bypassing the spaced repetition method. It is ideal for scenarios where you need to review material intensively until it is thoroughly memorized.
How the GL Algorithm Functions
In the GL algorithm, Noji automates the process of card selection for you. Your primary goal is to advance each flashcard through three stages: from "Not studied" to "Got it."
Review Process: During a study session with the GL algorithm, you go through all the flashcards in your deck. For each card, you rate your knowledge with options like "Not quite" or "Got it."
Revisiting Cards: After your initial review, Noji will prompt you to revisit cards you marked as "Not quite." This continues until all cards are marked as "Got it," indicating that you have mastered them.
The General Learning algorithm is designed to streamline your study process, allowing you to focus solely on the material without manually selecting individual cards.
You can choose to re-study the deck if needed. However, any card marked as "Not quite" will be repeatedly reviewed until it is confirmed as "Got it."
